Myeloma

Multiple myeloma is a cancer that develops from malignant plasma cells that multiply in the bone marrow. Many symptoms are related to the bone or marrow, and include bone pain and fractures, and anemia (low red blood cell count).

Multiple Myeloma

In patients with multiple myeloma, malignant plasma cells multiply in the bone marrow, crowding out normal blood cells and interfering with their production. This can cause conditions such as anemia (low red blood cells), leukopenia (low white blood cells), and thrombocytopenia (low platelets).
