Continuing to be active is an important part of cancer survivorship, each myeloma patient is at a different stage of treatment, so activity levels may fluctuate based on energy, activity like walking is encouraged. A well balanced diet is also helpful. Talk to your doctor about symptoms that you are experiencing that may be interfering with your health like insomnia, constipation or diarrhea. If weight loss has been an issue often meeting with a dietician can be helpful. Overall reporting your symptoms, big or small, to your physician will help create a good survivorship plan to improve overall quality of life.
