Symptoms
Early-stage vaginal cancer does not always cause any symptoms, which is why routine pap tests and pelvic exams are so important. When vaginal cancer does cause symptoms, they may include the following:

- A mass or lump in the vagina
- Pain in the pelvis
- Abnormal vaginal bleeding (i.e. after menopause, between periods, or having very heavy menstrual flow)
- Abnormal vaginal discharge
- Pain or bleeding during intercourse
- Painful urination
- Constipation
