Symptoms
The odds of beating esophageal cancer increase significantly when the disease is detected early. Unfortunately, esophageal cancer does not usually cause any symptoms until it reaches an advanced stage. It is especially important to see your doctor if you experience any of the following symptoms:

Difficulty swallowing due to the tumor obstructing the esophagus

Chest pain or discomfort

Involuntary weight loss and loss of appetite

Heartburn or indigestion

Vomiting

Chronic cough or hoarseness

Fatigue

Choking while eating
