Symptoms

Appendix cancer usually does not cause symptoms until it has reached a later stage and has spread to the peritoneum (abdominal cavity) and rarely other organs or parts of the body. Appendix cancer is found in one percent of all appendicitis cases, more commonly in elderly patients. Symptoms of appendix cancer may include:
