La dependencia de esos factores para su crecimiento puede identificarse en el tejido tumoral mediante la evaluaci\u00f3n de los receptores de estr\u00f3geno, progesterona y HER2. Como el nombre lo indica, el c\u00e1ncer de mama triple negativo (TNBC) tiene lugar cuando ninguno de estos receptores est\u00e1 presente. Al ser un hallazgo relativamente nuevo, no se conoce con exactitud c\u00f3mo crece este tipo de c\u00e1ncer de mama. Por suerte, las investigaciones que se llevan a cabo en el campo del TNBC, que afecta alrededor del 15 % de las pacientes que tienen c\u00e1ncer de mama, progresan d\u00eda a
