Diagnosis
If you experience symptoms or feel you may be at risk, your doctor may run tests to check your body for any developing problems. Some of the more common tests include:

Blood Tests
Having your glomerular filtration rate (GFR) checked, will measure your level of kidney function. Your doctor may also take into account your age, race, gender, and other factors. Your GFR will determine your stage.
