Symptoms
Early-stage breast cancer usually does not cause many symptoms, but some symptoms may start to appear as the cancer grows. Symptoms may include:

A lump or mass in the breast or underarm

Swelling or thickening of the breast

A change in the size or shape of the breast

A change in the color or texture of the skin (dimpled, scaly, red, or flaky)

Nipple discharge

Asymmetry of the breasts

Nipple turned inward

Nipple pain or tenderness
