About CMedEd

At CMedEd, patients come first—always. We are committed to ensuring that individuals battling cancer, and their families and caregivers, receive the clear and compassionate support they need at every step of the journey.

No one should have to navigate cancer alone or uninformed. Whether it’s explaining complex medical terms through illustrations, outlining treatment options, or simply being there to listen, CMedEd empowers patients and their loved ones with the knowledge and emotional support they deserve.

We speak not only as medical professionals but as your ally because at the core of CMedEd is the unwavering belief that informed, supported patients are stronger patients.

For Me, It’s Personal

When my father was diagnosed with cancer, there weren’t the resources we have now. Finding clear, easy-to-understand information wasn’t simple. There wasn’t enough time for the doctor to fully explain what was happening. Everything felt rushed, and crucial details were often missed, leaving us with more questions than answers.

I created CMedEd to guide people and families through the challenging journey of a cancer diagnosis. Our goal is to provide clear, easy-to-understand information about cancer, what to expect, treatments, and more, so you can feel informed and empowered every step of the way.

I hope that as you browse the site, you will gain valuable insight and feel more in control of the journey ahead. You are not alone in this and understanding what’s happening can make all the difference in how you face the challenges of this disease.

"This is extremely well-done. Today breast cancer patients are extremely involved in planning their management. Understanding the complexity of the process is a crucial step toward an open communication between health care providers and patients. I believe we have to improve our patients education to increase the quality of care and participation in research projects."

What Patients Are Saying

“The illustrations and clear, concise language both lead to an explanation of the disease that a layperson can relate to.”

“CMedEd is easily understood and speaks to the layman in layman terms, not speaking over our heads like so many sites do.”

Clean, easy graphics. The website has a progressive logic…arrow leads you to the next thing. Don’t have to fish for yourself.”

“This website appears to have empathy for the patients’ needs, that so many (doctors and other websites) do not address.”

“It was good to have information that has been reviewed by a physician expert so that I did not have to sift through all of the conflicting information on the internet regarding what to expect from breast radiation therapy.”

“Having this information presented to me prior to treatment knowing it has been reviewed by my physician really put me at ease with the treatment process and what to expect during radiation.”

"As a caregiver, I often feel overwhelmed by the amount of conflicting information online. Finding this website was like a breath of fresh air. The fact that that CMedEd's content is backed by medical professionals gave me the confidence I needed to help my patients make informed decisions."

"Twenty years ago, my father was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. I wish CMedEd had existed back then. Having a reliable resource to understand treatment options and what the diagnosis meant for his prognosis would have been invaluable.
Since discovering CMedEd, I’ve not only used it myself but have also recommended it to friends recently diagnosed with cancer. I'm grateful to have access to such an incredible resource!"
