Symptoms
Myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) often does not cause symptoms in its early stages. Any symptoms that do appear may also be caused by other common diseases, making MDS difficult to detect and diagnose. These symptoms are the result of the lack of bone marrow efficiency. Here are some common symptoms of MDS:
Weakness and fatigue

Chronic fever and infection

Easy bruising or bleeding

Shortness of breath

Paleness

Petechiae

Weight loss
