Symptoms
Early-stage cervical cancer usually does not cause any symptoms, which is why regular pap screening exams are so important. When cervical cancer does cause symptoms, they may include the following:

- Abnormal vaginal bleeding (i.e. after menopause, between periods, or having very heavy flows)
- Pain or bleeding during or after intercourse
- Persistent or abnormal vaginal discharge
- Pain in the pelvis
- Frequent urination
- Leg inflammation or swelling
