Symptoms
Leukemias in children often develop and progress cause a sudden onset of symptoms. See a doctor immediately if your child experiences any of the following symptoms that do not resolve in a few days or are severe:

Weakness and fatigue

Fever

Unexplained weight loss

Night sweats that soak the sheets and pajamas

Anemia, or a low red blood cell count, may cause weakness and fatigue and pale skin

Leukopenia, or a low white blood cell count, may increase your risk for infection

Thrombocytopenia, or low levels of platelets, may cause easy bruising, bleeding, or petechiae
